UPDATE 30April2023 Added a FAQ from AboitizLand 1. Why AboitizLand did not repair/ rectify when we are seeing a spike in water loss? AboitizLand: Part of the water system warranty does not include any and all damages and defects caused by ordinary wear and tear. See section 6 of the Deed of Conveyance, see below snip.
2. Why Almiya have accepted the water system in spite of the water loss issues?
AboitizLand: Water System is part of the conveyance. https://www.almiya.org/_files/ugd/26c504_831edaa65cdd4d33910ab60026354da5.pdf 3. Aboitiz did not recommend any steps to address the water loss. AboitizLand: Aboitiz Land recommended the following:
A. Aboitiz Land engaged a contractor to conduct meter calibration.
B. Aboitiz Land engaged a contractor for the segmental line leak tracing using standing pressure test.
4. Water meter replacement. Is it possible to get the error % of that calibration so we can impose a % additional fee for those that haven't changed the water meter?
AboitizLand: No. Since we only use a 10liters calibration bucket following MCWD standard of +/-2% percentage error per meter.
5. We cannot have the contractor fix the water system (as backjob)? AboitizLand: Far beyond warranty.
6. Additional Cistern Tank - We are just trying to understand if it's possible to have an additional cistern tank near the MCWD line. AboitizLand: Yes, however, it was already proven in the past that this is not the solution. There was even a joint pressure monitoring with MCWD at the mother meter that proved supply inadequacy. 7. Please let us know if you have other suggestions.
AboitizLand: We highly recommend to engage 3rd party experts in water operation to eliminate the inconveniences.

UPDATE: 23March2023
A water bill adjustment for February 2023 due to AboitizLand no longer subsidizing the water system losses as based on the calibration report. Aboitizland is clear that losses were mainly due to the defective meters - 58% a commercial loss. 📝Water Calibration Result per household (updated) 📝Summary Watermains Calibration Result Regarding water meter replacement, let's continue in encourage our vecinos to replace water meters that failed the calibration as this is one of the main reasons for the non revenue water (NRW). If we allow significant numbers of vecinos to continue in using their defective meters, then, our vecinos with accurate meters will suffer in paying these NRW as AboitizLand can no longer subsidize these losses.
